To install the Creabl code, go to Settings and select Installation.
The Creabl code is a small script that you need to place on all pages of your website before the </body> tag.
To install the code, you should:
- Copy the Creabl code.
- Insert the script on all pages of your website before the </body> tag.
- Check that the code was installed successfully.
We will now go into each item in more detail.
- To copy the code, click on the Copy code button.
- To edit the website files, use a program that can access the website files, for example, FileZilla.
Open the Themes folder and go to the Website theme.
In most cases, the file containing the </body> tag is located in this folder and is called footer.tpl.
Note: If the file is missing and you have the classic Prestashop theme installed, go to Templates — Layouts folder, and select the file called layout-both-columns.tpl.
Next, you need to download the file with the tag and open it in any convenient text editor.
Go to the end of the page and paste the previously copied code before the </body> tag, having placed {literal}{/literal} between the tags in advance.
Then you need to download the file and upload it back to the server.
Go to the Joomla Admin Panel.
Click Advanced Parameters — Performance —
Template compilation, and select Recompile template if the files have been updated, or Force compilation.
The item “Recompile template if the files have been updated" means that each time changes are made to the template files, they will be automatically updated.
The “Force compilation” item is, as it is clear from the name, forced compilation. In this case, the file will be updated once, and if you make changes in the future, you will need to do a forced compilation every time.
To finish the placement of the Creabl code, click Save.
To check that the installation is successful, insert the address of your website in the Enter domain name field.
To complete the check, click the Check system button.
After completion, you will see a message that the code was added successfully.
